Mike Lackey
Mike is a born and bred Texan so he knows his BBQ! He’s lived in many places as an Army brat, gaining a love and appreciation for varied and exotic foods. Mike met the love of his life, Michelle, in Australia “exporting” the best natural resource Australia had to offer! Mike is often found passing the time picking on his banjo or fiddle, and has many vintage fans he loves to restore giving them a new lease on life.
Michelle Lackey
Michelle was born in Canberra Australia where she enjoyed life with her two young sons. She soon met Mike (Pitmaster) and came with him to the United States, to “see if she could put up with it” and has never looked back. She’s has dabbled in musical theatre, being a wardrobe mistress for a number of shows, but has now jumped into the BBQ world here in the United States. Together with Mike they have won a number of top awards for their BBQ and Chili and love to bring their food to those who love the good things in life.
Daniel May
Born in Australia, Daniel moved to the United States with his family in 2002 to “check things out”. He is the speed demon in the kitchen and is also known as the “Ginga Ninja”! Daniel is also the one in the group who can sleep through an earthquake and getting him up and ready to serve the hungry BBQ lovers can be a challenge!
Gary Stiglicz
Gary was born in Fairfax, VA but grew up a state department brat so he was fortunate enough to live internationally in exotic locations such as Israel, Japan and Liberia. Gary is a classically trained opera singer but his true passion is the blues. He is the lead singer and harmonica player of Rule G Band and has been playing your local watering holes for over 20 years. He now resides in Maryland with his beautiful wife Kricia and his adorable daughter Ava Blue. Gary loves to play music, surf, snowboard and COOK! You will find Gary doing multiple duties for Hog-It-Up (hence his nickname, “go to Gary”) but you will find him mainly in front of our trailer being the Hog-It-Up “Schmoozer” and front man next to his “twin brother” Ryan… just follow the sound of the harmonica.
Kricia King-Stiglicz
Born in California, Kricia has been “bi-coastal” most of her life. She now resides in Jefferson, MD with her husband of 18 years, Gary, and her daughter Ava Blue (the youngest and member of Hog-It-Up’s A-Team). Kricia has a back ground in dance and a long time career as Sales Executive in the IT and Telecom industry. Kricia loves skiing, cooking, and traveling…What she truly enjoys is her position in our Kitchen serving up our delicious BBQ. We call her “Crucial Kricia” because she is pretty sure Daniel can’t possibly run the kitchen without her.
Ryan Reed
From the mean streets of Appalachia comes our very own Ryan. He is married to a much better half Kari, and together they have two beautiful, cantankerous girls; Lily and Eva (aka the Viking Firecracker and Evadactyl Dynamite). Lily even has a dessert named after her on the Hog-It-Up Menu! Ryan, like Gary, is a classically trained. . .B.S.’r, loves to talk and never met a stage he didn’t like. Ryan is Hog-It-Up’s slave labor, working to pay of his debt of food he’s already eaten, because if it wasn’t for us, he and his girls’ diets would be limited to the deer and tree-rats they acquire with Lily’s “shooter.” To keep him out of the kitchen and away from “real work,” Ryan is limited to the job of our “meater” and greeter for Hog-It-Up BBQ, taking orders with style, a smile and speed!
